Hi, I’m Katherine—an artist and a dreamer based in Georgia. I paint expressive artwork infused with the tropics.
I have always had the label “artist” attached to my identity for as long as I could remember. Growing up, my family always introduced me as the kid who was good at drawing. At school people pointed to me whenever someone asked who could draw. Though I spent years struggling to find my identity, in hindsight there was one thing that remained the same: I was an artist.
I rediscovered my love for painting while serving in the US Air Force. What started as a personal escape during the pandemic planted a seed inside of me that this was a calling I would not be able to ignore. After years of balancing duty, life, and creativity, I made the giant leap of faith and pursued art full-time. I am just getting started; here I will share that journey with you—the highs and lows, and everything I’m learning along the way.
In this blog I will document the behind-the-scenes of my art career—my wins, struggles, and the mindset shifts that have helped me push forward. I wanted to create a space for fellow creatives, dreamers, and anyone who has ever felt the pull toward a creative life.
